UK Technical Sales Specialist – North – WFH

Our client is a software provider that specialises in database management applications including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Quality Management Systems into Clinical Non Clinical commercial laboratory environments.

These solutions are used by leading organisations worldwide to manage the flow of work through their laboratories.

Job Purpose: Build market position by locating and developing business opportunities.

UK Technical Sales Specialist key responsibilities:

*Coverage of a UK North sales territory – WFH
*Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business targets – especially managing personal time and productivity.
*Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and all available sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
*Respond and follow up sales enquiries in a timely manner.
*Use in-house tools and systems to keep customer and prospect information up to date at all times.
*Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
*Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
*Demonstrate the company software solutions at an initial level and then work with the technical specialist supporting the sales department to create demo systems tailored to specific customer requirements.
*Closes new business deals by overcoming objections; coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
*Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
*Attend exhibitions and conferences worldwide.
*Contribute to ideas for marketing campaigns.
*Contribute to ideas for new product development planning and management.

UK Technical Sales Specialist Other Details:

a)Ideal location will be somewhere between Manchester and Leeds but there is flexibility for the right candidate.
b)Experience in the scientific laboratory environment is essential but sales experience is not essential i.e. could be change of career direction for a laboratory-based person.
c)Base salary, mileage allowance and commission scheme will be offered.
d)Private health care at no cost for the employee plus contributory pension scheme available after completion of probationary period.

Salary Expectations
£50,000 to £70,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus (over £100k+ package)
