Teaching Assistant (KS2)

Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school in central Bolton, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a maternity cover contract.

This is a full-time role, ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to help create a positive and engaging learning environment where all children can thrive.

The Role:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support learning across Key Stage 2, working with individuals and small groups

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Help pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours

Provide additional support for pupils who may require extra guidance

Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Support pupils' social and emotional development throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within KS2

Be confident supporting learning in English and Maths

Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Be proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children's learning

Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service
