Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer (Biometrics) Placement Student to join our talented team in our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester for 12 months starting Summer 2025.
The role overview:
As a Software Developer you will maintain and develop software tools to evaluate performance of the ICU range of biometric products. You will be given the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development within our ICU Intelligent Identification Team.
Your Responsibilities
Supporting senior software developers in maintaining and improving current codebase
Developing and improving upon current software tools to evaluate performance of biometric algorithms
Investigating and resolving underlying issues based on testing
Contributing to improvements to the face analysis algorithms
Ensuring that code added to the pipeline / common Git repositories is of the required standard and is well documented / commented so that it is easy to maintain and extend
Your Skills & Experience:
Hands on skills for software development e.g Python, C#
Analytical approach to problem solving and bug fixes
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Fast self-learner
Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
