Site Maintenance Engineer

Hours:

Mon to Thurs, 07:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, 07:00am to 3:30pm

Fri – 07:00am – 15:30pm

Pay Rate:

£40,000-£45,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Experience / Qualifications in

Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Compressed Air, overhead crane experience would be a massive advantage.

Person Specifications

Adaptable, willingness to learn, ability to work on bespoke engineering equipment, flexible in working hours (call outs & weekend work may be required / Early starts / late finishes), ability to liaise with internal and external customers, including other site contractors.

The job / person specification would need to have the following:

· Reporting into the senior management team.

· Working closely with the health and safety manager to ensure high standards are maintained and workload is organised and managed efficiently.

· Producing clear and coherent plans for maintenance depending on costs and order of importance

· Creating maintenance schedules, and delegating tasks. Exploring ways of improving efficient work systems within the department to enhance the service provided and/or reduce overall costs

· Ensuring all relevant administration is completed in a timely and accurate manner and to maintain up to date records and files

· Conducting site inspections and identifying maintenance requirements, remedial, proactive, and reactive

· Scheduling contractors for major repairs as required. Monitoring and addressing the effectiveness & productivity of all contracted services

· Supervising and ensuring that all workers are following safe work practices.

· Health & safety management is a key responsibility of this role to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements include management of safety asset registers, vehicles, equipment, machinery and PPE registers, fire protection system checks, portable appliance testing, gas safety management, risk assessments, point of work risk assessments, construction phase health & safety plans, quarterly exterior inspections

This is a permanent position, via a 12 week probationary period through XS Recruitment

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
