Job Title: Shift Manager (Late Shift)
Location: Site Based
Reports To: Production Manager
Salary: £42,500 – £47,500
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Role Purpose
The Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of daily production targets during the late shift. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the role requires leadership and support of the production team, maintaining compliance with quality standards, and ensuring safe, efficient factory operations aligned with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the production team to meet daily production goals.
* Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards and quality control procedures.
* Maintain accurate and timely completion of production documentation.
* Motivate and develop shift staff, including temporary workers, while managing labour schedules within budget.
* Identify opportunities to improve production and packing efficiencies and quality.
* Oversee holiday and absence management, and personnel records in line with HR policies.
* Act as the responsible lead during the late shift, providing guidance and operational support.
* Conduct machinery tool changes and provide cover for team leaders and operators as needed.
* Facilitate shift meetings and maintain effective communication with all relevant teams.
* Supervise the late shift warehouse picking and packing operations.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
* Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Ability to safely operate production machinery.
* HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications.
* Experience in running shift meetings and managing teams.
Preferred:
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
