A well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation are hiring a Senior Project Engineer on a permanent basis. Working within a fast-paced and high-tech manufacturing environment, the primary focus of the role is to deliver a range of technical engineering projects from cradle to grave.
Work arrangement: Site-based, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 (37.5 hours).

Key responsibilities:
* Reporting to Site Operations Manager and responsible for all site engineering projects.
* Managing a team of 2 Project Engineers and working closely with the Maintenance Manager
* Focusing on automation upgrades and electrical systems (drives, controls, PLCs, etc.).
* Taking ownership of numerous engineering projects from initial conception through to project completion and deployment (valued up to £150k).
* Working alongside a Central Engineering function for the delivery of CAPEX projects (valued up to £10m).
* Establishing best practice for all engineering projects and acting as electrical subject matter expert and a mentor for others.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must hold at least an HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an electrical engineering discipline. Furthermore, strong technical knowledge of automation and electrical systems and experience in delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment is essential
