This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join an expanding manufacturer in Stockport.
Primary Responsibilities Manufacturing Engineer job in Stockport:
· Lead projects to identify, specify and commission new pieces of equipment to improve productivity and quality
· Design custom equipment to simplify production tasks
· Ensure all systems and processes are in place to deliver sustainable improvements
· Support the introduction of automated processes where appropriate
· Help in the creation of robust production processes for new products as they transfer to manufacturing
· Work with operations teams to identify where process improvements can be made
Required Experience
Relevant work experience in similar role
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent qualification
· Previous high tech industry manufacturing experience
· Automation of high precision production routines
· Design of bespoke tooling
· Knowledge of Six Sigma/lean manufacturing techniques
· Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
