Junior Test Analyst needed for a education technology company based in Manchester

The company, who specialise in learning management systems have been busier than ever over the past year as organisations are keen to build out learning and development for their employees. Because of this, the company are growing, and would love to bring a Junior Test Analyst into the team.

With almost 20 years behind them and an interesting client list, including household names like PayPal and BPP, this is a great time to join and they offer some pretty decent benefits too – a personal development budget for all of their tech folk and a four-and-a-half-day week to name a couple!

You'll need to have some experience in software testing (ideally around six months' worth at a minimum), but this doesn't necessarily need to be in a commercial role – you could have done an internship, or taken on freelance work, or do it as part of a hybrid role!

You'll be working closely with the Senior Test Analyst day-to-day, who will be there to support you and help develop your skills. This role will involve testing web applications manually (exploratory, regression, functional and UAT mainly); planning, tracking and executing these tests and test plans as well as identifying more uncommon/edge-case test scenarios.

There is also the opportunity for you to expand your skillset in different areas such as API testing and automation testing using Cypress (which is a leading tool right now!).

You'll need to have most of the following skills:

** Attention to detail (check your CV for typos!)

** Some software testing experience

** Experience creating and documenting test plans and scripts

** Tracking software such as Jira

It would be a bonus if you had:

** Agile environment experience

** ISTQB certification

** Automation testing experience

** API testing – Postman

With an office space in the Didsbury area of Manchester (with parking), the company would like you in the office 3 days a week, as this will benefit your learning. They have a salary on offer of up to £23,000, and have a great benefits package – including a half day Friday, relaxed culture, social events, 4% matched pension, annual hack days and learning and development opportunities.

To sum up, this is a modern organisation who would facilitate significant and pretty rapid upskilling that will help you advance in your testing career
