Facilities & Engineering Technician

We are currently looking a Facilities and Engineering Technician to join our team in Manchester.

As a Facilities & Engineering Technician you will support management in validation and qualification activities for GMP laboratories and Clean Rooms.

Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

* Liaise with Production Management and Quality teams to communicate potential or actual risks that could impact on production.

* Assist in performing validation work for any new equipment.

* Assist in the writing and reviewing of technical documentation for the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.

* Create deviation reports for GMP equipment & facilities.

* Ensure all laboratory equipment have been qualified & maintained for their intended purpose.

* Support the writing, reviewing and implementation of facility, laboratory and asset management policies

* Monitor & dispose of laboratory waste.

* Actively engage with the introduction, qualification and testing of new equipment

* Participate in incident investigation at the time of the event and follow up for root cause analysis & effectiveness checks

Education, Skills and Experience Required for the Facilities & Engineering Technician role:

In order to be successful in this role you have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

* Science A-levels or a degree in a science subject

* Experience working in a GMP regulated environment

* Experience in asset management and dealing with external contractors.

* High attention to detail

* Excellent time management and communication skills

Whilst not essential it may be an advantage if you have:

* Experience working in clean rooms

* Experience in facility management

* Knowledge of H&S legislation

Please note there will be some heavy lifting required in this role
