Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams for control panels, compliant with customer specifications and industry standards
Use Electrical design CAD software (AutoCAD) to produce accurate, functional & cost-effective electrical system designs
Use discussions and technical documents to determine customer requirements
Produce customer documentation – functional design specifications & system manuals
Create accurate 2D layout drawings for electrical panel build system IO layout
Produce bills of materials (BOMs) accurately
Support the commissioning team to ensure successful FAT and SAT
Liaise with suppliers to determine appropriate component selection
Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:
Autocad is required for this role with other electrical packages having benefit
Ability to deal with customers, suppliers and internal departments
Ideally have a solid knowledge of electrical regulations & safety standards
Ideal for Engineers comfortable working within highly regulated environments with specific documentation such as Oil & Gas or Nuclear
HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with a thorough understanding of engineering principals including electrical circuit diagrams & symbols
Understanding of IEC 61508 standard and SIL design would be desirable but not essential
Located in Manchester, this role would be commutable from Salford, Wythenshaw, Stockport, Leigh, Sale and Swinton.
