Customs Clearance Coordinator – Manchester
Location: Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Yearly Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We're working with a well-established logistics and freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their growing team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of customs processes who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process customs documentation for import and export shipments
Ensure all customs declarations comply with current HMRC regulations
Liaise with internal departments, clients, and customs authorities to ensure smooth cargo clearance
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of documentation
Resolve any clearance issues quickly and effectively
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a customs clearance or freight forwarding role
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs systems (e.g., CDS/CHIEF)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
A proactive, reliable team player
