Shoalter Automation (UK) Limited designs, manufactures & installs its own automated retail stores, the first of its kind in the world.

We are now looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our team at our Head Office in MediaCityUK. Working in a vibrant and friendly team, you’ll support our Buying Manager to bring a fantastic range of products to our customers, both in the UK and Hong Kong.

With the chance to help negotiate and work with some famous brands and suppliers, you’ll get hands-on experience at the heart of a highly skilled team whilst enjoying the autonomy to build great relationships and achieve your goals. Whatever direction you take in the future, we will make sure that you’ll be well equipped to progress in this role.

Assistant Buyer Duties and Responsibilities

* Purchasing materials and supplies

* Conducting research

* Analysing market trends

* Taking inventory

* Negotiating the price with suppliers

* Maintaining relationships with suppliers and finding new suppliers

* Monitoring purchase orders

* Keeping track of purchase orders and delivering reports

* Communicating with the management team

Assistant Buyer Requirements and Qualifications

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

* Import/Export Experience

* Excellent computer skills

* Strong math skills

* Strong negotiation skills

* Strong analytical skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong organizational skills

* Highly developed attention to detail

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to work with a team
